I bought a blue tooth device to allow my pc and ipaq 4150 to communicate and sync without the cradle. Do I need to connect the ipaq to the pc via the cradle before I attempt to initiate an activesync over bluetooth? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In my experience the first time ActiveSync scans ports on a computer it will be easier to configure if it finds the USB first.

After this, you can connect new devices via Bluetooth or cable, you choose.

I set up the Active Sync first using the cradle with my 4355. Once that was up and running to was a snap to configure the BT access, no problems at all.
