Does anyone use Opera on their mobile?
I find myself put off by the idea of squinting at something I normally view on a 22" monitor. Is it one of those apps that I can't do without once I start using it?

I've used on a P800 and it's quite interesting. The latest one offers an improved set of fonts, very easy to read. The images are well resized, and apart from frames, normal pages are easy to read on the small screen. I've enjoyed that.

Mind you, there's Access Netfront ($$$) as an alternative to Opera, on both Symbian flavours (Series 60 and UIQ).

I use v6.2 on a 6600 and have just installed the Accelerator which apparently strips out unwanted content before download. And it does seem to improve performance, of course depending on the content of each page.

The downside is that Opera want 30 Euros for a year's subscription after a 14 day trial. I don't think this pricing model will work until they develop it into a "must have" application.

It's a tribute to the quality of the 6600's screen that any "real" browser is usable on such a small device. But the clunkiness of the app and limitations of the keypad mean I'm a long way from using it to book my holidays. The PC is not dead!

Have a look in some alternative proxy services (a couple of free ones there).
