If I was to purchase an unlocked phone from overseas... and use it here on say Telcom XT network... which provider will be the one that send the 8.1 update.   Is it the original one on the phone?

Similarly if I was to take a phone to the States... from here.. assuming I can get a USA sim and use it over there.. where would the regular updates come from?
