I use Cirond's pocketWinc. It's not free like miniStumbler, but it does a great job.

try wififofum, make sure you update the microsoft .NET to sp2 for your ipaq and wififofum should work no problem..and its free

I use it with my 2215 and an Ambicom wl100-cf and it works like a charm

WiFiFoFum is free (from Handango) and should work. Pocketwarrior, also free, may also work. PocketWinc should (I have all three working on a 3970). Be careful when upgrading from PocketWinc 1.3 to 2.0 -- you may have to uninstall and reinstall 2.0 if your network card cannot connect to your AP.
