I have just been given an Ipaq 5450 with pocket PC 2002. There are 2 things I want to do with this device.

1. Connect to a WLAN with WPA-PSK encryption. With the current driver or OS, there is no option for WPA. I can only connect using WEP encryption. Does anyone know how to add this WPA ?

2. Still related to 1st question, will it help if I upgrade the current Pocket PC 2002 with Windows Mobile 2003 ? Will I see the WPA option ? Unfortunately HP has discontinued support for this product. If anyone has the windows mobile 2003 for this ipaq, can you share it with me ? I saw that they sell this WIndows Media 2003 on ebay for a cheap price. Has anyone try it ?

i think my old 5450 at home has 2003 installed on it.  i'll take a look and see if WPA is on it, but i'm not sure i remember seeing it there.  it definately only has support for 802.11b (no a or g support)

the 5450 with Pocket PC 2003 software also doesnt support WPA.  Looking at the HP site it seems the 5500 is the first to have support:

Apparently the 2003 SE edition did provide WPA support, but I don't think HP offered the 5450 with that version.

there may be other software/roms around that enable this, might want to search the net before laying out any money..

Thanks for checking mate. I'll look around for the software. Cheers.
