Hi, Does anybody know of Pocket PC GPS Software (NZ Maps) that includes voice navigation and route planning? I've tried the smart2go, very good software, but the maps are not detailed enough. I've also tried the Google Navigator, this one looks very promising...very detailled maps, but cannot get the GPS to work and their support sucks. Any other packages?

Let us know how you get on... I always wondered about the copy from current SD card side of things... as this may be seen as some sort of infringement on their copyright rules.
Just got a reply now. They can install the software (80MB) on an existing Microsd card at $20 off the purchase price, which is really cool since mirosd are so damn tiny and I wouldn't want to swap them. Also, they are prepared to install on my xda Flame to see if it compatible. Their customer service is really good.
Ive used Navman 3.5 - pretty good however you need to set it up correctly otherwise you end up going down the shortest route but full of gravel roads, intersections etc. v4 is out with 2006 maps. google it for reviews and where you can get it from. I think its call Navman SmartST 4? from memory.
Don't ask for a lighter load, rather a stronger back.
I currently have a Dell Axim X51v, with a CF GPS receiver, I originally bought Gold Finger but returned it as I had issues with the installation and also how inaccurate it was between 50 to 100 meters out from my actual location, in one of the other GPS forums they recommend Garmin with open NZ maps.
So now I use Garmin Que CF 2.90 (FREE) with NZ Open Maps (FREE) and this also has voice guidance, and using it in conjunction with MapSource and www.zenbu.co.nz where you can export out your GPX location files and then up-load them to your pocket pc via MapSource, very easy.
