Has anyone figured out how to get one in NZ?  I tried the MS online store+youshop, but it kept freaking out at the final 'buy now' stage.

I used YouShop + Paypal and it went through. It has always gone through this way when I have purchased stuff off US MS online store.

Two browsers failed to load, and a 3rd came up with the message "something went wrong call us on <us phone number>"

I'd be interested in reading your thoughts on it after you get it.

I got one just after launch to review for NZ Tech Podcast and TV3 - a capable device with a few oddities. Will put it through it paces over next couple of weeks.

Thanks

I've been thinking about getting a GPS watch for a while however I'd only ever wear it while training as I've got another watch I wear full time. Is the Band something you can wear as well as a watch (on the other wrist of course) so I can actually wear it full time and make the most of all the other features? How long can the Band last with GPS turned on and how often does it take a reading?

Do the training apps work well? I see they've partnered with map my fitness, I use map my run but its coming soon. Any timeframe on a role out of that, and I guess a role out of the product in NZ?

Dust and splash resistant - does this mean I could wear it in the rain?

That's about all I can think of now.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers

Are there any regional issues with using an imported band (eg having to set your phone to the US for Cortana) if so what did you have to do to work around them?

I'm not noticing any issues

Working fine with metric system

I can see one place in the mobile app UI that displays miles instead kms but it causes no problems.

How about the power adapter, I'm assuming that the US one would need at least a plug adapter for NZ power.

No PSU is supplied. Comes with a USB magnetic cable charger. So you need to plug it in into an standalone adapter that takes USB connections or into a computer with USB port.
