I have a palm treo 700 and for some reason I can't whip out the SD card and plug it into any xp machine. I would have expected to see the files of the SD card but instead I just get a windows error to the effect of "semaphore timeout period has expired"

Are files written to the SD card on the treo not viewable in windows xp?

They are visible and you can transfer files this way. I would say the card has problems, or your card reader has problems. Try formatting the card as FAT32 and using it...

Ah...

It was a driver issue (even tho I thought my home pc had up-to-date everything... my work laptop didn't)

I thought it would have been incedibly strange the two didn't share the same or have a compatible file system

Thx :)
