Hi

I just got a nice headset from FlashCards - it's an i.Tech BlueBand R.  I can manage to use it for handsfree calling but I can't get it to work for music - which was the main point of getting them.  When I play music with Media Player it just uses the internal phone speaker and not the headset.

Is this possible?  Maybe I should not be using media player?  Is there an alternative that supports headset playback?  The headset comes with software for nokias only.

Thanks

If you are running the shipped Vodafone/I-mate ROM, they don't support A2DP to allow stereo bluetooth.

Have a look at this forum (lots of reading to do!):

Good grief!  What a hack!

I'll give it a go. Thanks.

It took me an hour to find all the bits and work through the instructions.  At the end of the registry hacks I restarted the phone and it wouldn't start!  This gave me a few heart flutters but removing the battery for a full reset fix it and the headset works really well.  Woo hoo!

Like somewhere else I read, Media Player wont restart after a call interupts the music, and it seems to start playing music by itself occassionally, but I can live with small problems like that.  The biggest issue is looking like a complete dweeb, singing along to ABBA while I walk around town.  My daughter said I look like a Cyberman.  Oh well..

Cheers
