Extender sits inside Outlook which makes it more convenient. It does little more than send & receive texts.
Companion is stand alone and has a lot more features than just texting. My view is it makes accessing features and files from your mobile device a lot easier.
I have used earlier extender version for Harrier/ XP combo and found it to be invaluable app.
Have just downloaded 2.5 for Titan / Vista combo and with bluetooth makes this union so much more beneficial.
I have a titan and a vista bluetooth tc4400 tablet. will jeyo let me read and reply to sms on pc as well as ppc? this would be much quicker while at my desk than 'texting'
Absolutely. Fantastic programme for doing exactly just that. Although I love the keyboard on the Titan - the Harrier keyboard was hopeless - I would rather type texts via jeyo/outlook. With Titan sync'd I can send and reply texts, and just like emails you get a notification when new one arrives. Jeyo has its own folder structure. I find it also useful in that texts received while I am out and about a sync'd to outlook and saved when sync'd again. Comes in handy if I accidently delete texts on ppc when I get into clean up mode.
Bluetooth is icing on the cake. I am still trying to iron out the whole bluetooth sync thing at the moment but when they are BT connected sending and receiving texts is heavenly, none of this text talk for me!
You can download it and trial it for 15 days. I have yet to buy the latest version as I want to give it a good run on these 2 new rigs - Titan & Vista with Outlook 2007.
I'd use Jeyo Extender for Outlook as you can "consolidate" all form of messages to Outlook.
The other thing is, I used it to transfer SMS from one WM device to another when performing phone upgrade, and to bring over my existing SMS. Which may only happen once few years... so 15-days trial is enough for me to accomplish this task easily :-D
