i have a k-jam and my partner has a jamin,
i found the settings for pxt vodafone nz in a topic here. i set it up as per instructions and it works.
but i am being charged $.10  xtra each time we send a pxt
when i sent the pxt it shows on screen as mms connecting, gprs connecting

can anyone help with why this is , do i have a setting wrong.
our phones are not vodafone live active. which we dont use or want.
we have wifi and access the net via our wifi at home or out  NOT via vodafone internet

any help would be appreciated cheers

It looks like they are charging for data transfer. Better check your account settings with Vodafone...

thank you freitasm.. your settings do help and i did follow them to the letter.
is it my settings on the phones that are wrong or something vodafone has done .. i don't intend to blame anyone.
as i bought non vodafone phones i can expect some confusing in setup. but i would like to fix them up.. as i have just bought my son a 02 atom and don't want the same thing happening with his one..
i have just looked into setting up the atom but it is set up differently than jamin

it has MMS settings not MMS configuration, so not sure how to set up MMS as per

Why not try sending yourself the settings from VF's Wireless Portal?? The K-Jam is listed there..

I would check the forum post again, following the steps one by one. If it's sending the MMS then it's most likely correct, because the server wouldn't be reached throgh other APNs.

Cokemaster's comments is true though - he had a problem where his device was connecting to a third party server every time he came online. But that's because he had some odd configuration in the mix.
