This PDA/phone seems like a perfect upgrade for me,I do not like ANY sub 3 " screened pda phones.I currently have an imate pda2 and pocket pc as a backup.

My question is,has anybody experienced getting an O2 branded phone purchased through expansys....repaired ?
The expansys nz site seems to be a doppelganger of the aussie one and as such I expect all dealings would be directed accross the tasman?

Any advise, warnings etc would be appreciated, given the general lack of support for more popular brands of these fragile [in my experience],very expensive devices.

Thks

This is an aside to your question, but I got an O2 earlier this year, which has been a real pleasure to use, although I got while I was in Asia so am on even thinner ground regarding warranties etc than you would be going through expansys online!

Would suggest you get an aluminium cover if you're worried about damaging it e.g. from pdair.com

Good luck with the Flame, would have got that if I had some extra dosh!

I've dealt with Expansys a few times, although admittedly not for warranty purposes.

My understanding has always been that warranty issues would be directed to Australia, as you correctly state the 'NZ' site is effectively the Australian site.

Nice phone, pricey though - more expensive than the Nokia N95. . .

Thanks people, yes the nokia N95 is a real beaut, couple of people at work have them, unfortunately for me,the screen is too small and it doesn't have a qwerty screen keyboard which rules it out for me....takes me about half an hour to write a sentence on a T9 type keyboard...lol

Paul, the aluminium case is a good idea,I'm not really a fan of adding bulk to an already bulky device, but I guess you can't have it all ways and have to accept the consequences of not doing so, hehe
