Hi I am having a bit of a problem with the sound on my Treo 700wx over the past few days which i am trying to sort out.

Sometimes when I get I call I answer it, I can hear the person, but they can't hear me.  I have tried everything I know, even a har reset last night, but just the problem again.  Its really annoying.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Have you installed anything since the hard reset?

Couple things first, the obvious one could be an intermittent faulty microphone, the other can be the way it is answered, try keeping the phone on a desk (not in a pouch or pocket) and when it rings just use the green answer button rather than the touch screen option ( using the touch screen can accidently hit the mute option). This will elimiate the phone activating answer mode accidently (& when you are pressing talk button the call had already ben answered & you are muting it) if that works then change the style or way you answer it, if the problem still occurs take it to a dealer to have a look as it could be faulty,
