Do you have your contacts in any subfolder or are all in the same folder? Are you sure there's no Filter applied in Contacts on your device?

Open Contacts, tap Menu | Filter...

Have you tried a soft reset lately?

Would love to get this solved is there any other way perhaps through file viewer that i can see if i have contacts loaded ie. maybe a pst file or similar located on the device

when Syncing it dosent increment the number of contacts synced just goes straight to zero

I suppose you are synchronising to a local Microsoft Outlook account, not an Exchange Server? If so, look in Office folder on your PC for a program called SCANPST. You can run it to check your PST files for errors.

If you are synchronising to an Exchange Server let us know.

If nothing, then perhaps a hard reset?

Your device will be restored to its original status. The easiest way is to open Settings and look for "Clear Storage". Sometimes it's in Programs.
