Hi all,
Here is my tale of woe. I bought a Toshiba e740 Pocket PC with built in wireless. I have a wireless network at home.
Initially, I could only connect to the internet using the PPC when it was cradled. Each attempt to connect would bring up a dread "unable to connect with current settings" window, with the option to click a settings button that let me adjust precious few settings.
I struggled with this for about four hours. Then, on a whim, I unchecked the power saver checkbox in the connection settings, and lo... it worked. I was now free to surf the web in bed, in the bathroom, etc, etc, etc.
So, it was fine for a few days. Then, I made what seems to be a mistake... I looked at a web page on the internet while the PPC was cradled. Since then, whenever I try to go to a web page when it's not cradled, I get, once again, the "unable to connect with current settings" dialog, and the chance to adjust-- again-- precious few settings.
Can anyone help? I haven't changed *any* settings on the PPC. I simply went to a url while it was cradled, and then it ceased to find the internet when uncradled, permanently.
Thanks in advance!
John
