I've had my iPAQ 4155 for four days, and it is my first handheld. I am trying to sync two computers. I did not elected to mix contacts, emails, etc.
PC#1 uses Outlook 2002, PC#2 uses Lotus Notes.

Syncing both PCs was going fine until I tried to resolve some meeting attendee items during sync on PC#1. During this process, PC#1 was acting strange. A window kept appearing which I could close but would reappear constantly every 40 keystrokes or so. If I responded with OK, the START menu would appear, that's it. I did manage to resolve all 147 issues with attendee contact information except one.

Then I took iPAQ to PC#2, and it synced fine. Brought iPAQ back to PD#1 and I started getting a new message. The message paraphrased: " Unsynchronized item exist 1) Combine device and PC items, 2) use PC items only 3) do not sync." By making a bad choice, I got duplicate calendar entries and some other bad effects. PC#1 was still acting weird and I found out it was using Outlook2000, not 2002!! Kids maybe, but I doubt it. I do not know how OL2002 was lost. I definitely installed it.

Now the scary part, I decided to restore PC#1 to a day prior to installing Outlook 2002 and ActiveSync. Outlook 2002 and ActiveSync was then re-installed. A hard reset was also performed.

Syncing at PC#1 is fine now. I am having extreme difficulty getting PC#2 to sync correctly. Even after totally un-installing and re-installing ActiveSync and mNotes on PC#2, there is data missing. All calendar entries are not transferred from Lotus Notes. Most Email is not transferred, only four of twenty emails from Lotus Notes' INBOX make it.

I feel like I've tried everything including making sure the email 5 day limit is off, the attachment limit is at least 250k, and the iPAQ's clock/date is correct (including the year). HP support sent me here after they tried.

The million dollar question is, "How can I get the calendar and all my email synced from PC#2?" Looks like a good forum. Hope someone will help. Sorry so long and thanks. GJD
