A week or two ago, I downloaded Facer 2.0 to upgrade my current version on the Tungsten.
During the hotsync and transfer files process everything froze.
I tried 2,3 times to hotsync - but it wouldn't work.
Realising the Tungsten was frozed I tried to reset.
The screen went dark - and has stayed that way ever since!
If connected to the USB cradle, and I try a hard reset, the power light will blink once. That is the only sign of life that I can get anywhere.
The battery was fully charged when I began this process.

Does anyone have any bright ideas?

Is there anywhere local where I could get it repaired? (It was purchased in the US about 10 months ago)

Thanks

David

Well, I connected it up to the usb again. Noticed the light came on as for normal charging - now I had jiggled and pushed those connections umpteen times before - so I tried to hotsync again.
It came up with the standard message to reset - software, not hardware.
I followed the procedure - and everything worked fine.
Maybe I had to let the battery run down signficantly before it would recognise the power connection from the computer, or ......???

Anyway, I'm back in business.
