hi guys. i just brought myself a 2nd N95 today, and pretty much nothing seem to be working on.
theres not GPS, WIFI and the screen dont go full size.

is there anyhow i can reflash it? who can do it and how much?

this n95 looks like the asain version, i though all N95 has wifi atleast?

ive went back to the seller and he gave me 1/2 the price that was advertised.
is it worth for me to get this repaired or easier to reflash it?

thanks

San

Which Asian version? All the ones I've come accross have WiFi. . .

There is definitely no genuine version that looks any different to any others, Asian or otherwise. . .

This sounds like a fake?

how can i find out?
theres a sticker under where the batter are at, when u take the battery out the sticker got WLAN on it and some number, was told that the phone is from singapore, but then when i looked in the web setting it has chinamobil or something like that in it.
could it been stuffed up when the previous owner changed the housing on it?

what about the GPS? is there a way it can be activated? reflashing the fermware?

Only the Chinese Version (Legal too) does not have the WiFi hardware in it which is stupid considering Wifi is so common in China. These are legal N95-5 you can buy from Nokia stores in China.

Lot of people who imported them or bought from Nokia stores in China were disappointed. Lots of threads on Google. Here are two threads to prove it. Hong Kong Imports are alright, It's only the Mainland China that is the problem.

PS - for a surprise it does not even have 3G capability :(
