I have tried the new firmware for 8gb model. I had to rebrand to a generic euro code first.

Youtube normal version now works but only with the built in browser - not with opera (I guess this will change soon enuf).

Apparently there are a few other changes too.

Youtube working is still rather fantastic!! I got it to kind of work on a Windows mobile device but it was very bad.

How fast is the camera startup and can you make the "user" profile as the default or persistent instead of the "automatic"?
The N95's take fantastic images with sharpness turned off, I just bought a "real" camera and I think the N95 did a better job!

I only want better voice pricing plans from Vodafone, YouChoose is lame.

Ah, I'm so jealous and fervently hoping that the V21 firmware that has been getting developed for N95-1 comes out (it also has full youtube in it).

In addition to full youtube, there is web runtime environment (widsets), and more improvements to speed - I heard that boot time is now drastically reduced (the statement I saw was "almost as fast as a feature phone"). Is camera startup improved some more?

bigal_nz: Camera startup about 2 sec

Wow. That is awesome, nearly perfect even.

Really? I only get that the first time I open it after boot, from then on I get 3 seconds. Just one of those things - I usually open the camera app when I turn the phone on in the morning and then navigate the menus twice (using non-inbuilt themes they speed up after loading, something to do with the custom icon sets I'm told). Takes like 20seconds and makes life better the whole day long.

you need to chnage the branding code of the phone....i think i used a prgram called http://www.b-phreaks.co.uk/files/NSS/NSS10383.zip

Then the nokia updater will work.
