Hey all,

I bought a Palm Treo 750v today, and I installed Windows Mobile Device Centre 6.1 on my Vista machine, but it does not recognise my Palm.

I need to get my contacts onto my phone. How do I sort out WMDC?

Or, is there an alternative to WMDC that I can use to get my contacts onto my phone?

Any help would be really appreciated

Thanks

Ebbi

It's hard to diagnose those problems - there are somethings you can do:

1. Make sure you are using a USB port directly, not a USB HUB
2. Check firewalls to make sure they are not blocking WMDC
3. Removing WMDC and reinstall - reboot and make sure you plugthe device only after the install is complete
4. Check that the USB port is working

Does Vista's "Sync Center" see it?
press the vista/start button and type Sync Center

run it and see if your palm is listed?
