I have purchased a 3COM Office Connect Wireless USB Adapter in the hope I was going to plug this into my desktop and share my Broadband internet connection with my TH55 via its wireless capabilities.

However, after installation of the USB adapter under Network Connections on my PC I am informed the wireless connection is unavailable.

Any suggestions??

No experience with 3COM products, but... Are you using Windows XP on your computer? You can open Network properties, and for that network adapter you can check a box with a title lke "Use Windows to manage wireless connections" or something like that (have to check my laptop to be sure). Then you should be able to see a list of networks available.

If you don't have a wi-fi access point, then you might have to change the configuration on this adapter from infrastructure to peer-to-peer to share with other devices. Have a look around its Properties.

Sorry, forgot to mention what system I am using. yes I am on XP with SP1 installed. Will check the network connections but cannot remember seeing any of the boxes you are referring to. Am I missing a major component here or something?
