Hi,

Can anyone here suggest a good car cradle/charger for my n95?

I  figure if I'm going to try use the GPS I should have it somewhere I can see properly...

While I'm at it, can someone suggest a good bluetooth headset? Maybe a nokia one so I dont have to have two chargers?

Cheers..

I just got a $30 Dick Smith branded one (for safety whilst driving reasons). Very nice, works a treat. Comes with an attachment for the vents (no physical alteration to the car and can be used in multiple vehicles), but it was too loose in my vents. I used the sticky base, and its nicely positioned for good viewing, and can be tilted back to get a good angle for picking up satellites when using voice-guided GPS.

I have no idea about Nokia headsets, but I have two Motorola stereo A2DP ones, neither of which is particularly suitable for in car use. I'm sure some other community members here can help you there.

I bought an original Nokia generic holder (2nd hand but brand new) from trademe for $3.50 and a car charger for about $10 and the combo works fantastically, I also just fitted a 2nd hand Nokia CK-7W bluetooth car kit and installed GarminXT and I've got an awesome GPS that works over the car kit speaker too.
I'm stoked :)

since I wanted to use it over this last long weekend on my drive down to matamata, I went out and bought a generic DSE one and it works fine. It's a little bulky and gets in the way of my stereo a little bit but other than that it worked a treat, The aircon kept it cool and the charger kept it fully charged.

i just made my own, nothing flash, using polysteyrene and thin strips of sheet wood (all hidden in the ashtray)
took abouty 5 mins and scraps i found in my garage .......ok its not a brand name [well technically its a nexus original]
and its not purty and shiny with whistles flares and a corkscrew, but it does securely hold my n95 in landscape orientation with the slider opened to allow access to either keypad or media keys at or about 45 degrees ,, all buttons unobstructed
ill post pics on my vox blog if anyone wants a laugh

Looks pretty good, just checked the auction at Trademe - nice that it comes with the charger too.

I will post up some pictures of my setup when my N82 arrives from WOMworld (hopefully next week when I get back to Auckland).

heh i think i got my replacement Ca-74 tv out cable from the same trademe user as that cradle in those 2 pics... took 1 week from payment to arrive, and im only about 30mins drive from his/her district...if only they would allow pickups... i would have bought more things......(i would of found out his/her address and asked if i could come around and check out compatibility before payment on certain products)

Would someone be able to post a link to the mentioned cradle on the DSE website?
Have been looking around without success.

Here you go..

It comes with an attachment that allows you to slot it into your air vents or onto a mount..
