After reading, in another N95 forum, that leaving your charger connected may shorten your battery life.
I've checked in the manual and yes, on page 123, 3rd paragraph, 2nd sentence it does mention "... overcharging may shorten it's [battery] lifetime".

Up until now I use to plug my charger in before I went to bed and hey presto a charged battery in the morning. But as the N95 charges in under 2 hours (less depending on what was left in the battery), there is going to be an extended period of time that it's left "overcharging".

Solution 1, Maintain the status quo and keep an eye out for a new battery at some stage.

or,

Solution 2, Charge the phone when you wake up or even before bed. But this solution isn't practical for people who may be out the door at a moments notice.

Solution 3, Car charger. Stuck on the motorway? why not top up the power.

Solution 4, Purchase an timer for the power point, set it to work for no more than 2 hours whilst your asleep.

Any ideas or suggestions?

P.s. I saw the film 'Cloverfield' the other weekend.  Nokia brand phones featured as a subtle form of advertising, I found it ironic that one of the characters Nokia phone ran out of power! It wasn't an N95 though.
