It worked fine for a while. Scyncing with activesync my ppc(5455) and my desk top computer via usb. I had do a hard reset on my ppc and now when I try to sync it does not reconize the outlook on my computer and I cant sync them. I am at the end of my wit and very frusterated. I even reistaled active sync 3.7(?) on my desk top. Can someone please help or point me in the right direction. I would hate to have to reinstall outlook and lose all my contacts and apointments.

Before doing the sync, have you deleted the old Partnership?

If you open ActiveSync, and click File | Mobile Device you'll see a list of Partnerships, created when you first connected your Pocket PC or Smartphone. Sometimes if things go wrong it helps if you delete the previous partnership and create a new one.

The option will be grey while the device is connected. IF you remove the device from the cradle the option will be available.

Still saying it is not installed. I deleted the old partnership then started a new one.

Not good then. Perhaps try opening Outlook and clicking Tools | Detect and Repair?

Also, if you reinstall your Outlook, you'll not lose your contacts - they'll be on the .pst file (make sure to backup this one!).
