Anyone know how to turn on cell site display info on N95?
Thanks.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

On the E90

(Tools) -> Settings -> Phone -> Network -> Cell info display (on or off)

Should be the same on N95.

Scott, how are you finding your E90?  I have heard Nokia no longer produces them because of the faulty software and the keypad scratching the screen.  Could you confirm?

Is there plans for an updated e90?  The successor?  Cheers.

I love it, it's great. The keypad does touch the screen lightly if it gets squeezed in my pocket but it's no major and no permanent damage is being done. Faulty software? The microphone does have a bit of a hiss sometimes but meh I don't use it for voice much.

Haven't heard anything of a successor, Communicators seem to have a 2 -3 year model life so I assume it'll be this time next year the next announcement is made . . .

I'll probably look to move it on shortly as I'm going back to a laptop (which will get UMTS 900 WWAN in due course) due to my new job and as my job is in a rural area I am hanging out for a UMTS 900 version of something like the E51.

Cheers

Just a side note, this won't work on 3G / WCDMA sites, only 2G GSM sites.

Thanks for your insightful comments mate.  Good to hear it is performing well.  It looks like a wonderful device!  Still I am a little worried about the keypad touching the screen though.  So if you don't deliberately squash it or put force on it, the screen will be OK?  Great:)

Have you had firmware upgrades recently from Nokia for this device?  Also, the battery life?  Thanks mate.

Regarding the E90: there have been shots of a bridging follow-up device where the keys/screen problem is resolved. Can't remember where I saw them, but consensus is that the source is legit.

So would this be a brand new model or the same model but re-designed?  Thanks.

Yeah before I put a screen protector on the internal screen it barely touched, with screen protector on it is more of a problem but like I say minor. The only reason you can tell is because the grease from your fingers on the keys sticks to the screen/screen protector. It's no worse than (not even as worse as) a normal phone screen gets from being in your pocket / held up to your ear/hair.

Nokia haven't released the latest firmware for the AU/NZ product code but I changed my product code to a European one so I could get the latest firmware. AGPS is the main change (it's great, GPS lock in 10s or so, even get a lock inside most of the time too.)

Battery life is pretty good, I get 2 - 3 days and that's with always-on push email (Mail for Exchange) running 0700 - 2230.

There have been various reports over the past 6 months about various fixes but I'm yet to find or see them actually implemented. Someone I know supposedly had the fix applied by Nokia in Oz but I couldn't see any difference.
