Hi all.
I have just got myself a Okta Touch and have been trying to set it up to connect to the internet through my pc's bluetooth connection (which i must say i have got activesync working through , thanks to the posts here)
I set up a connection on the device to use the bluetooth modem , but then it was asking me for a number incl dialing code.(for a blue tooth connection ????????)
Has anyone got this working or know how to?

Cheers

Sounds like you are trying to set up a dialup networking connection over Bluetooth. This is possible, but I don't think it is what you are trying to achieve.

I think there is a setting in Activesync on the PC to allow passthrough internet connection for a connected device - check that, then connect, and you should have internet when your activesync connection is active.

He says he has got activesync working through bluetooth - so the connection to the PC is sorted. #777 and those login details is only for connecting to the CDMA data network - it is of zero use when trying to use your PCs internet connection on your PDA.

If you want to use your PC's Internet connection from your Pocket PC and have ActiveSync working you don't need to do anytning else - it automatically connects to the Internet through your computer.

Threre's no magic on using your Pocket PC as a connection to the Internet (which is the way around from what the original poster wants to do):

1.Turn on Pocket PC and pair devices (if not already)
2.On Okta Touch Start | Programs | Internet Sharing.
3.Select Blutetooth and use the default connection.
4.Use the Bluetooth tools on your PC tp connect to PAN.

That's all.

Your problem, while related to internet connection ont he OKTA Touch, is actually a seperate issue from the original posters (OP).
As the problem originally outlined in this thread is completely resolved, you should open a new thread specifically for your issue.

Thankyou.
