Purchased a Telecom Titan last year, running Windows Mobile 6 (thanks Brad), through the GZ "Offers & Wanted" forum . Just recently, I've been getting a few weird daylight saving appointment time issues for appointments occurring in the next few weeks until the end of the extended daylight saving period, so decided to download and install the new February 2008 Windows Mobile daylight saving patch WMDST2008-1.CAB as per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949168

It would appear that this has now bricked the Titan, as while the patch appeared to install okay, it will no longer complete the boot sequence correctly. The actual phone initialisation seems to work okay and it gets as far as the Windows Mobile screen but just hangs at that point and won't boot any further. The phone is obviously registered on the network as the light on the Titan is flashing and if I dial the mobile number, the call gives a ringing tone and the screen on the Titan lights up, but with no sound from the phone and the screen is still stuck on the Windows Mobile display.

Any ideas apart from a hard reset?

Just to answer my own query - I did a hard reset, installed the latest February 2008 KB949168 patch before doing anything else and it worked this time. Solved by appointment time problem too.
