Last Thursday I had a trip to Dallas and left from Springfield, MO. I took my iPaq from the cradle and put it in my laptop bag. After checking in and going through the security I was in the cafe and tried to turn on my iPaq. No power! So, I waited until I got home today and cradled it and all my info was gone, as well as the battery reading completely discharged. I had to set it up again like it was new. Has anyone else experienced this loss? My laptop and cell phone were fine. Does the Xray affect it?

How do you have your power settings configured? Check the settings for "On battery power" and make sure they are configured to turn off the device after X minutes to preclude your device battery being drained inadvertently. Go to "Start -> Settings -> System -> Power"...

Its possible the power button was pressed while in the suit case or a security screener turned the device on to check it and the battery simply discharged completly.

I always keep the power setting to turn off at 3 minutes. This was all within 1 hour of leaving home. It would not have had to time to discharge like this.
