I have a zire72 and an hp laptop with a 3com bt adapter via usb. I can sync ok but have not been able to connect to internet using webpro on the palm. It hangs during logon and then says it timed out? Can the zire72 be used this way or am I doing something wrong.
Thanks
Kevin

The Zire is ok. The 3COM adapters do not support LAP or PAN. You'll need to use a solution based on MochaPPP for example, which will use a COM port to allow PPP from your Palm.

If you use the 3COM then you can define a new serial port and install MochaPPP. Configure the Palm like you would do for the Bluetooth connection (follow our Bluetooth Guides).

Other Bluetooth dongles use Widcomm software, which is more flexible. We've based our Bluetooth Guides on this standard.

That's pretty much it.
