Just curious to see any one out there experiencing problem with the Curve devices not auto updating the DST patch as its meant to be updating? I have tried pushing this DST for the devices via BES for our 4.2 devices with no luck. However if the devices manually download the patch it works.

Hi

I had the same issue and it came down to this.

http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/articles/843/KB04693_f.SAL_Public.html

Theres a file called device.xml which contains all the blackberry models your server knows about.
If you see entries in the POLC logs like this "Device info for hardwareID 0x84000b03 could not be found." It means your BES doesnt know about the device. Follow the instructions and you should be alright.

An interesting thing happened today with my curve, it has gone back one hour even though DST isnt over.
I wiped the device and it displayed the time correctly but soon as i enterprise activate it jumps back. I have checked the BES and its still in dst. Ive checked the table in the database which contains the DST info and it matches the data in the sql patch.
So im a little stumped on whats happening.

edit: i checked with a mate and theirs is all fine. Guess its just my handheld playing up.

Hay CraigC, thanks after reading the document and re-indexing ....this fixed my problem! I did do a test push to my device and few other curve devices it worked!
I will push this to all other devices in our BES tomorrow. Good that RIM has identified and documented all the issues with DST.

I'm sure all the Executives will have there appointments in time after the push

GREAT THANKS
