I used PIE then Netfront then Opera.

Opera was the best for me.

Definitely Opera is the way to go also tried Ibis not as good but OK still compared to IE. Is the new IE on 6.1 any better?

I think Ibis is poor.

Internet Explorer Mobile 6.1 comes with a few new features - for example Zoom In/Out. But by the end of the year we will see Internet Explorer Mobile with th full desktop code (IE 6). I saw it working a few months ago during the Mobius conference, and couldnt' say anything until it was announced a couple of weeks ago. It rocks.

I don't like IE in WM6.1. It lags terribly on my Titan. Even Opera Mobile with several tabs open runs more smoothly.
