Running activesync 3.71 on XP SP1

occasionally when I put my ipaq in the cradle it causes a BSOD and reboots my PC
this doesn't happen every time but often enough to be annoying (even once is too often)
I have recently reloaded XP and Activesync and the problem came back
I uninstalled Activesync and reinstalled and it came back again

Any ideas?

TIA

It sounds like a problem with the USB drivers. Is this a USB card or built-in to the motherboard? Do you have the drivers for it? IS it working ok with other devices?

the USB is version 1.1 and is onboard
the only other USB devices I have used on this system are a keychain drive and a camera, and I have never had any problems with either of them.

I have checked out the ASUS website and no updated drivers for USB for my MB.

thanks!
