i would have put this in the origonal thread but it's locked (due to inactivity)

any update on the ETA? Aloha had a source on the inside (dark alley-ways, fedoras and trenchcoats etc etc) any info?

Where are your sources from? If they're from Nokia then their information is unlikely to be reliable. When I spoke with Maps project managers at Nokiaworld they passed the buck completely on this issue, stating that maps updates are contracted out to a third party, so they could not give timeframes.

It's been "coming in the next few weeks" for months now.

I would be surprised if Nokia even bothered to ask a 3rd party to develop NZ maps for a few thousand users here in NZ vs. millions in other countries.  I hope I am wrong though!

I think one of Nokia's mapping company acquisitions from last year already had map sets for NZ, so I would think that we will see them eventually...

Hi Guys!
Watch the space around 23rd of May, a reliable source told to me.. NZ Maps here I go.
The original release day supposed to be last Monday, but then they postponed for unknown reason... this is all I was told.

Nokia owns a company called Navteq, who (amoung other things) develop mapping solutions for the likes of Google, Yahoo and Mapquest.

They are the ones who have done the NZ maps also.
