I recently started getting txt mess on my blackberry that shows the caller ID as my own number.  The first couple of txt mess were just a little weird, but now have gotten a little scary- even tried replying back just to see if the ID was faked, but the reply came to my phone.  No- I am not sending these to myself and the phone has been in my possession when I gotten some of the mess. Any suggestions on how to 1. find out who is doing this? 2. Stop this.

You should contact the mobile operator (carrier) providing you with the services.

They should have a security team that would be able to track where these messages are coming from through a unique identifier.

Thanks for the reply. I did ask my service provider to look into the issue today. Right now all they can tell is that the messages were sent from the internet. They didn't sound too hopeful. I hope it stops- is is pretty creepy.

Huh?  The poster's post seemed quite easy to understand to me, and doesn't look like it's been edited.
