My Okta has started dialing the T3G connection every few hours for no reason.

I have let it connect to see what app might be running, but there is no programs running. Not even active sync

If I cancel the connection it simply dials again. If I let it connect it disconnects after 2 minutes (timeout period)

Any clues? Could it be viral

Are you sure it is not the weather tab updating?

I don't us the Today function, so no weather updates

All syncing and updates are set to manual

However, it appears to have stopped i.e. attempts in the last 12 hours

I think it may have windows messenger as this was the only thing that I had been playing with.

So hopefully the end of it

If you don't ever use the data connection, you can delete the existing connections from the "Connections" tab in the settings dialog, and the CM_Guardian executable from the \Windows\Startup folder.
