I have an Okta Touch that I use for my business and think it's great.

But I have a couple of gripes - it's probably me not using it correctly.

1 - It doesn't tell me I have a voicemail message - is there something I need to do to get it to do this?

2 - I've seen some people with much better Today Screens - I just use the default one, where can I get something a bit better?

Cheers

You can find customization of the today screen on xda developers website here

I use this for my jasjam, and looks real nice.

In regards to your voicemail, I am not sure as I do not have an okta touch.

THanks for that - I just tried to install it and it said it failed due to insufficient system permissions.

you need to change your today theme to the other themes first, and deactivate your HTC home plugin. And just transfer all the files to the htc home folder

Hmm...well that went right over my head - serves me right for being so crap with this sort of thing I suppose.

Tried to put it into the HTC folder but still the same thing happened.

Looks like I'll be sticking with the default theme :(

Another couple of questions.

I downloaded a couple of apps to use but they say not a valid pocket pc application - they were from the software site here and the apps were:

SPB Mobile shell 2.1 & SPB Pocket PLus 4.0.2

Must be something else I'm doing wrong?

THanks

To install applications on your Windows Mobile device you have to connect to ActiveSync (or WMDC on Vista) via USB or Bluetooth. Then run the download on your PC. This will install the application on your device.

If you have an external memory card look on your device - there will be a question asking if you want to install the application on its main memory or memory card. In general applications that should execute all the time (like these ones you downloaded) should be in the main memory.

Well I love the SPB shell, but the other app was horrid.
