It seems the more i read about the iphone here on the forums, the worse it seems, with battery life, reception, and its lack of specs
So i opened up a new google tab, and got researching. I came up with the Sony W960i walkman phone. It seems to have the iphone beat in every single way, including price, brand new (i mean sealed) and unlocked for $40 less, and, dear i say it, looks. Not to mention the camera, battery life, and connectivity.

Ive gone tired of my N95 8gb, after just 1 month, and it seems a little too expensive for everyday use. So im going for something thats around 100$ cheaper, and is without the features I dont use.

Is it the right choice?

Kinda like comparing 2 cars of different brands - comes down to personal preference!

Yeah the iPhone is more about style, a fashion accessory, a 'must have' gadget, rather than functionality.

You can buy far better for cheaper, but its personal preference really.

If you were to get an iPhone, I would say wait until its relaesed here shorty by Vodafone (and possibly Telecom), and then not only will it be legit and supported, it will likely be 3G and have far more features/functionality. (GPS?)

I'm guessing because until the iPhone they didn't really need to.

The Sony is a nice phone, but you can pick up new Black N82's for around $670, and then an 8GB microSDHC card for another $90-100 or so, making it much cheaper than the N95 8GB (despite being a much better phone).
