From what I've read, has DVB-H, Handheld built in.
Anyone know if this means that it is capable of receiving DVB-T signals then? Or is H a totally different standard?

DVB-T and DVB-H are similair but not compatible with each other.

Kordia trialled DVB-H in Auckland last year but have not announced any plans to roll out a network.

It's a shame the TV function doesn't work in NZ. Really doesn't make sense to upgrade to the N96 if you have a N95 because soon 16GB cards will be out.

What bothers me most about N96 is the lack of camera lens protector.

Yea, it offers very little over the N95 as it stands, but if you're like me, and you've been wanting to get an N95 for a while, its quite appealing. I like the sleak look of it too.
I agree about the lens cover though.

Think I'll be saving my pennies, as it looks like my faithful N70 might be on its way out!

I reckon the top two Nokia handsets are:
1) N95 classic
2) N82

I will be looking to "upgrade" from N95 to N82 in the coming months. The n82 seems to have everything, except for the larger screen like the N95.

Just checked phonesdirect.co.nz they have the n96 up for preorder.. They have raised the price on the n95 8gb though, i looked a month or so ago and it was $800ish, now its $950! what the hell..

I was hoping for some 850Mhz 3g in it. I am sure I read that somewhere it was going to support that, but not 1900 which was annoying some people in the states.

I would have thought it was in their interests to make one phone that covers all bands. Seems nowhere else in the world but aus and nz use (or will be using) both 850 and 900 HSPA so sadly I think we will end up with phones that only work on one or the other, like the bad old days of gsm where you had to choose between 900/1800 or 900/1900

Careful paying too far out, since a credit card has a time limit on a chargeback for this sort of thing if they are dodgey. I wouldnt use cash/eftpos for deposit on this.
