i'm trying to configure a 3870 to talk to my T39 and hence GPRS...
i'm followed the guide here:
http://geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=809

i get as far as this bit..

Now we will configure the dialing patterns, and we start by entering the correct Country code and Area code we're calling from.

the screen shot there looks nothing like where i'm up to on my Pocket Pc, and i can't find where i'm suppoed to be entering this dialing pattern...

i'm a complete newbie to pocket PC, and haven't used any flavour of windows for about 5 years....
any help is greatly appreciated

Are you using Windows Mobile 2003 on this h3870? If yes, then use this guide instead.

That should be Pocket PC OS 2002, the original one. If this is the case, the guide is showing the dialogs you should see... Check it again, and let me know which step it goes different.

thanks for the help - but it think i'll stick with what i know.
i'm right now installing familiar linux on the pda
http://familiar.handhelds.org/

this will let me dual boot into either linux or pocketPC, and if it all goes well (and the bluetooth works etc) then i'll remove pocket pc in due course

cheers
