Hi all,

I read in some articles that activesync assigns IP address on the PPC and the PC.
It seems that the PPC has an IP address 192.168.55.xxx, but my PC doesn't have any.
Does the PC gets an IP address after installing activesync, after sync PPC and PC or should I do any other
command?

Thanks for the help.

The IP address is only for internal use really - what do you want to achieve?

Hi freitasm,

I need to develop TCP client server application. The problem is that the PC and the device don't have the same subnet.
I read that active sync assigns IP address to the PC. In my case my activesync doesn't assign IP address.
My PC is connected to LAN (Domain).

My device has IP address 192.168.55.101 while my PC doesn't have 192.168.55.100.
What am I missing here?

Thanks.
