My 5 month old Imate Sp 2 stopped working this morning. It was fine and happy in the cradle until Activesync signalled that it had disconnected and I noticed that the power light was solid red. Now I cant even turn it on. Ive tried taking the battery out, SIM card out, everything short of throwing it at the wall.

Is there a hard reset or similar key combo I can try. Or do I go back to Vodafone?

There's a hard reset sequence, but only if you can turn the unit on... You probably have to send it back to Vodafone (or in New Zealand Accord, which is the primary service centre).

If you return to a Vodafone dealer they will probably charge something on top of the Accord's charges...

Another thing to keep an eye on now... Perhaps I should invest on a second battery while they're available?
