My 2210 was working fine, but in accidently uninstalled some settings and appointments.

For various reasons I don't sync with my PC, but do back up onto it.
So I decided to restore the backup from my PC to the PDA, which went fine. I then did the reset and it freezes now on the start up screen - blue bar is all the way to the right, but no more than that.

I have to hard reset to get anywhere, and then change the settings to get the restore to work again, but it does the same again!

Anyone know a) why this happens, b) how I can restore without it hanging (other than not reseting - BT doesnt work then) c) if its possible to check the integrity of a backup file.

I have all my data, I just can't get at it, arghhhhhh!

There is a potential problem with backup on Pocket PC, and I'm sorry I can't offer a solution. Since most backup utilities copy everything, including the registry information, it may happen that your last backup is already corrupted, and restoring it would just bring back the problem.

Do you have a previous backup available? Synchronisation ensures that at least your contacts, calendar, tasks and files are in sync, and it's an additional protection on top of the backup.
