Hi there,
Purchased one of these phones 2 months ago, it has always been in a protective case, removed the case yesterday and the plastic casing surrounding the music slider key at the front is all cracked, broken and chipping away.
Considering I never use the music function on this phone (due to the fact I was given an ipod the same day I got the phone) I am really disappointed with what seems to me to be a fault in the plastic as there is no other damage to the phone to suggest I have done it myself.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem, as I have contacted Nokia, Vodafone and First Mobile and I have been told I have obviously damaged it myself and that it doesn't come under the manufacturers warranty.
Can anyone offer some advise as I really like this phone and I'm really disappointed, upset and a little bothered by it.
Cheers

That seems odd!!!

Is the phone in your pocket?

What kind of case is it? Like a leather case or one of those silicon cases, it would be pretty hard to damage it if it was in a leather case with a flip over front I think.

No, the phone is generally on the desk beside my computer (as I work from home) or in a pocket on the side of my bag.  The case is a silicon one, and the guys at first moble believed that the slider had been caught on some keys or something in my pocket, but I don't carry keys in that pocket on my bag as it only has room for the phone and for it to get caught on something would have caused there to be some sort of scratching or other damage to the surrounding area on the phone.

Put a photo up of the damage and see what others think.

Sorry, I couldn't work out how to insert a picture so I've added one to my profile.
Happy to upload more if someone can tell me how.
Cheers
