A beauty alright, I'm really not a fan of touch-only devices though.

OT, but you mentioned it in passing: I see the Xperia is set for release Sept 30. If the reviews are positive I'll probably get one to try (not that I'm terrible unhappy with my Touch Pro or anything, but if the Xperia is better then I'll be there).

whoa, very nice ROM and RAM balance! another one to my wish list when the jam craps out but at the moment it flies even with only tiny specs.

I love touching the screen. But I have the screen-based input methods. I am not a big fan of Windows Mobile Standard, but just the fact the Samsung Ace's got a keyboard makes a lot of difference. I can actually be productive and send meaningful emails, post a quick reply on Geekzone, and so on.

On the other hand I don't like how Windows Mobile Standard is so constrained in screen size.

I am taking the i-mate Ultimate 8502 to the USA today - low resolution (QVGA only), but the keyboard is a winner. And HSDPA.

I am expecting the SEX1 around too. That would be my pick if I go back to Windows Mobile Professional.

hmm further reading, it is not really a multimedia featured phone with no stereo speakers ... but ... who cares it is still a damn nice phone even though it hasn't got the lens protector soooo yummy still.

I rather like the look of the Touch 3G, has 900/2100

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

hmm from the pics and specs, the touch 3g has faster processor and more ram and rom which should eliminate the 'dog' like behaviour of the okta touch.

Love the design, but yeah with that sorta power under the helmet ...... hmmm I like!

Edit: It has also the manila2d interface that is soooo yummy! better than touchflo as you know it? may be!

Here is a cab link to the interface, and here actually so you get full information before you start installing! I would not bother for devices with only 64MB of RAM like mine Cry those kaiser/tytnII owners seems to be enjoying the new interface! proceed with caution! Sealed
