For the GPRS connection first check that your account is correctly configured on the MPX220. You have to have a configuration that points to a non-WAP gateway. Cingular should be able to help you on this configuration, but it's something that you have to do by using the Start | Settings | Data Connections and then on the Menu there's an option "Edit Connections". Then back on Data Connections select the correct one there.

For your ISP connection you should check with Cingular if your account can use CSD. Not all mobile operators allow CSD due to unlimited minutes, etc.

thanks for the heads up... i am trying those out and working with a high up cingular tech but she is not having much luck either...are you aware of all the problems some(alot) people are having with these phones?????.....may latest is also bluetooth related....using bluetooth dial assistant from the 2215, i send and dial a number through the mpx....swell, but guess what it then locks up and can't make another one unless i hard reset the phone....then i get one more call!!!! whoopee!!!.... i may be returning/exchanging this thing.....i say exchanging maybe because not everyone is having problems.....funny thing is , it appears at a glance that people who bought it at best buy but stuck there verizon simcard in it are having less problems..... i don't know....thoughts, opinions, advice????
