What software do you recommend I download to my ipaq so I can compose text messages on the ipaq as opposed to the phone but send them via my bluetooth connnection. Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

It's possible, but depend on what mobile phone you have. I recommend SimpleSMS. There's also connect2phone.
