Hi does, anyone know where to purchase BPS CAL's? I tried to get them from Ingram's but they could only supply Vodafone CAL's which apparently dont work for Telecom Blackberry's? I've spoken to the Blackberry support line (0800 227 877) and 126 and they dont really even know what I'm taking about. I've also emailed RIM and had no reply and checked on the Blackberry.com website and they only offer sales for the US and Canada?

Im a bit stumped here, surely it cant be this difficult?

I would be very surprised if the CALs are really Provider dependant.  They are server based and so should not care what network you are connecting on.  The one key that you get with BPS certainly doesn't care.

Hi dimsim

You need to contact your Telecom Account Manager or a Telecom Dealer (ad they will email away with your request). If you contact a dealer it would be best to contact a business or corporate orientated one, as they know more about these devices in this sort of setup than a consumer orientated store.

Cheers

Thanks everyone for your responses.

In the end I just downloaded the free CAL's that came with the Blackberrys and installed them on our BPS server. I just needed the PIN for each new Blackberry and got the CALs from the RIM website.

All working perfectly..easy huh?

You can order BlackBerry Server Software and Client Access Licenses from Telecom by emailing BlackBerryLicensing@Telecom.co.nz

johnr: CALs are not carrier locked

Thanks, I though that should be the case. I had them ordered on a Vodafone SKU then was told by Ingrams that they would only work for Vodafone Blackberry's, they RA'd them and credited me?

Its hard to find good help nowadays :)
