Howdy

This older topic has now been locked regarding a non-java Gmail app for Windows Mobile 6.

I currently have the java app which is a pain in the @*s to keep running all the time.

Is there still a non-java cab file available?

The link provided by zocster doesn't appear to work anymore and can't seem to find anything on The Tech Turf site (or by searching google).

Any ideas appreciated!

Cheers

Do you specifically want to run Gmail's client, or just gain access to your email.  If it's the later, then I can confirm that using imap from WM6 works well.

Thanks for your replies guys. Had already tried using IMAP but used a lot of data when checking all the time.

Was using emoze which was okay most of the time but ended up finding Seven which works perfectly and also provides access to your gmail contacts.  Uses only a fraction of the data that I was using with IMAP also.  Definately worth a look if you are interested.  Emails come through instantly.

Cheers

With Imap you can set the retrieval schedule - even to manual only if you want. You can also set it to download headers only etc etc, so basically theres no reason for data use to be excessive.

Yeah, I realise that but I like them to come through straight away and theres nothing more annoying than getting a header of something you want to read then having to wait for the content to download! Yell
