An occasional crash results from opening a palm document in the 'Docs to Go' program. The screen goes blank and, if left long enough, it mandates a soft reset. Once done it resets to base factory settings, deleting all installed programs in ram. Rom is unaffected. I can't edit palm docs but only 'word to go' and 'Microsoft Word' docs. I used to be able to edit palm docs and resave them as palm docs. Not now. Any answers or similar experiences?

What version of Docs to go were you using - as there have been a few updates to ver 6 and ver 7 lately.

The 'Docs to Go' version I have was described as an in between version from the base to the mid-priced versions. I called DataViz to find out what version it was and that the answer I got. It came in the software bundle CD rom that shipped with my '72'. I purchased the '72' in late August from the local Radio Shack store. Thanks for your response.

My suggestion then if its the "out of the box" version is reload it onto the palm after loading all the relevant zire 72 updates from the palm one support page, and then download the latest patch from the dataviz support site. I had a similar problem when i first used my zire 72 and since i've updated it it hasn't done it again.
