N95 replacement battery

After owning my n95 for just over a year, the battery life has become really horrible.
Even just sitting in my pocket on stand by, the battery only lasts a few hours.

I have been looking for battery replacements on Trademe, but I am not very convinced by their claims.
Does anyone have any experiece with replacement batteries for the N95?

What about N95 8GB batteries? Will they fit?

I think the N95 and N95-8 use different batteries.

From recollection the N95 uses a 5F and the N95-8 uses a 6F. Check with Vodafone before rushing out to buy either genuine or OEM.
Cant help you on experience though - I've only ever bought replacement ones direct from Vodafone.

The batteries on the N95 8GB are indeed different as alledgely they hold the charge much longer than the N95. If you search on N95users.com/forum you will find this discussed in depth. From what I've read, the depth of the N95 8GB battery is slightly bigger than the N95 one, so it has to be chiselled down to put the battery cover back on.

Just be wary of the cheap $5ish batteries on TM. I have purchased several for various devices from several different sellers and while I have had no issues all have significantly less capacity than the genuine items.

I'd get a genuine battery - I got mine from Expansys way back when I first had an N95.

Too many deaths from exploding cheap ones for my tastes, the risk is low, but the outcome if it happens is terrible...
